Learn about how Trisha’s life was restored by God:
I was brought up in a Christian home and attended Sunday school throughout my childhood. When I started high school, I went to boarding school and spent most of my teenage years away from home. During this time, I was not committed to a church nor was I actively pursuing God on a personal level. However, I prayed from time to time and read the bible but only when it was convenient.
I reached my turning point when I started university at James Cook University in Townsville. During this time, I made a lot of choices that were not guided by the word of God or the Holy Spirit and I was continuously living in hurt. But God is an ever-faithful father and he kept me throughout those hard times. In December 2017, I started committing myself to church activities in the Townsville Revival Fellowship. Slowly, I began to see that the word of God was softening my heart and changing my mindset.
On the 7th of February 2018, I received the Holy Spirit, spoke in tongues and got baptised. After this I felt this void in my heart was filled and I stopped living in hurt. Although there are still challenges in life, the confidence in having the Holy Spirit and living in God’s love strengthens me every day and it’s a blessing to live in this changed life and share it with my brothers and sisters in the fellowship.
